1K/sec. DL; Failed DL's

Post by tekkie »

I've been running my server fine for several months, with exception of a raid array failure which has been rebuilt. Last night/this morning I encountered something that wasn't easily recoverable...

First things first: Supermicro X7QCE 2U server: 4x2.4GHz QC 7300 series Xeon, 16GBRam, 2TB sysHDD, 18TB zfs raidz2 on Lubuntu 14.04LTS. VMWare Workstation with Lubuntu 14.04LTS installed as childOS, with Latest commits for Sickrage, Couchpotato, and SABnzbd.

This morning I ventured into my basement to discover that I had many NZB's that were failed, though SABnzbd also reports above the failure that it was processed successfully. I am currently at work so I won't be able to post any screenshots or logs until I return home.

Aside from that, I tried to reopen some of said failed NZB's, and they all fail. Every single one. Regardless of indexer, or even adding new NZB's. Shutdown/restart of SABnzbd did not resolve the issue. Shutdown/restart of sickrage and CP did not resolve issue. Re-initiating VPN tunnel did not resolve issue. Attempting to refresh NZB without VPN tunnel initiated did not resolve issue. Full graceful shutdown/restart of VM and Host system did not resolve issue.

SABnzbd still reports 1Kb/sec. DL, looks as if it's actually DL'ing with progress meter filling per item, then fails out and post-processing completed successfully, though that is not true.

Thoughts as to what could be causing the issue?
NZBindex and OZnzb VIP indexers in use.

Could it be this: http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/faq#toc12

Easy check of your setup: pick a post from http://www.binsearch.info/index.php?q=u ... &postdate= and put it into SABnzbd ... if that works, your setup is end-to-end correct, and the failures mean the post is not available (anymore) on your newsserver, possibly due to DMCA.

I will give this a shot once I am home this afternoon and report back my findings. I just find it a bit strange that over 30~40 different NZB's from various indexers have all failed unanimously, and they are all VERY recent (within the last 7~30 days)

Not quite sure why I had so many back to back failed items, but you were correct. Failures are with the items in question and not the overall setup.

Thank you.
