SABnzbd doesn't download

I am using SABnzbd 0.7.9 (compiled from source, but originally tried using the one in APT repo). The main issue I'm having is that when an item is added to SABnzbd, SABnzbd reports that it has 0:00:00 left and it doesn't download. Every once in awhile it downloads an item fine, though. The settings for the usenet account are correct. There were no errors in the log last time I checked, but for the most part, SABnzbd just won't download anything. I'm not sure what to look at in terms of solution or diagnosis. When I start SABnzbd, it asks me about a self-signed certificate (the ssl certificate is signed by a company, it's not self signed) so i hit yes and then I type in the username and password and it says bad html error and some other stuff. Is this related?

If you tell SABnzbd to run its webserver over HTTPS, it will use a self-signed certificate.
Are you sure the material is on the servers?

I configured SABnzbd to use a commercially signed SSL certificate, which is served properly to my web browser. The certificate it is using is not self-signed. The material is on the servers.

Logicate, did you manage to find out why it didnt download?
I have the same problem.
