Cant open downloaded files

Post by RaoulJWZ »

Hello everyone,

Ive downloaded some books in the form of NZB files from Binsearch.info using SABnzbd.
If i try to open the file now its an exe file, but the image of the file is the same as the ordinary windows 7 maps
and if i try to open it, a message pops up with: {BOOK NAME} has stopped working.
I am completely new to downloading like this, so i hope i have explained it well enough,
otherwise i would like to hear it to.

Thanks in advance.

Never ever open executable files downloaded from Usenet.
You have fallen for a scam.
Hopefully the software really crashed and did not harm your system.
Remove the downloaded files and do a thorough virus scan.

Either they're all scams or you really need to update
your media player. What are you using?
