SABnzbd slows down on Synology with open GUI

I am running SABnzbd on a Synology DS414. I have noticed that the download speed drop to about 300KB/s when downloading with the GUI open. But when I check download job speeds of jobs downloaded with no GUI opened (through mail for the completed downloads) I get speeds up to 6,2 MB/s.
I do not have this when I run SABnzbd on my Windows PC with the GUI open, there I get speeds up to 12 MB/s.

The UI also costs precious CPU time of the system on which SABnzbd runs.
Try lowering the refresh rate (Options at the top right).

This seems to do the trick on my Synology. The PC has enough CPU power (I7 processor).

Are you using the standard skin (Plush)?
With an I7, SABnzbd shouldn't have an issue at all, unless you have a huge queue and the "Classic" skin.

The issue was on my Synology, but reducing the refresh rate solved it. Thanks for the tip. By the way, I am using Plus in both the Synology as in the PC setup.
