Too many connections

Post by colonel-squawk »

Hello

My news server account gives me 8 connections.

I have set the number of connections in the server config on Sabnzbd to 8 but every now and again it appears to exceed the connections. Everything stops. If I click Test on the server in question, I indeed get the "Too many connections" error.

Then after a couple of minutes it clears itself and resumes downloading.

Is this a bug? Or just expected behaviour? It doesn't really bother me, but just wondering why it would exceed the 8 if I specify 8 in the config.

Thanks.

Possible explanations:
1) Your newsserver provider thinks one or more connections are still there, whereas SABnzbd has already closed / abolished them. This can be caused by handshake mismatches or a sudden restart of your setup. Easy workaround: lower the number of connections, for example 6.
2) another NZB-client is also using the same newsserver account

Or just ignore the messages

Is it Astraweb?
If so, just ignore it.
