HI, since my source for usenet binaries is creating the archives using WinRaR5.x, my sabnzbd+ installation can't manage to unpack them by itself anymore.
"Unusable RaR file"
I am not really sure how to get it work. I updated my system winrar binaries to 5.10b4 ( rar --h ) and unpacking the same files via terminal works fine now (rar e blablabla.rar)
Does sabnzbd+ bring it's own winrar binaries?

Re: Linux: Unusable RAR file with 5.10b4
We only include unrar with the Windows and OSX distributions.
We cannot do this for other systems, so we use what's installed on your system.
I advise to get RAR from the WinRAR people directly: http://www.rarlab.com/rar_add.htm
Just install the full package for Linux. The unrar part is free, rar will only work when you pay.

Re: Linux: Unusable RAR file with 5.10b4
I did, as mentioned in my first post. WinRaR on my system is updated to
5.10b4 (source was the rarlab binaries) and works via terminal.
But sabnzbd+ on my system still can't unpack them.

You installed winrar binaries on your Linux system? From where, and how?Bazinga wrote:I updated my system winrar binaries to 5.10b4 ( rar --h )
And that's version 5.10b5?
What is your output of "unrar | head -4"?
Re: Linux: Unusable RAR file with 5.10b4
Grml, "problem" solved. Sometimes even linux needs a complete reboot.
Restarting only sabnzbd+ did not help. Previous failed downloads upacked successfully.
