Growl

Since Growl, the Mac notification system, also works at Windows and at Linux I'd like to request this feature to be added.

I've heard this feature was allready in, but commented out. Could this be re-added?

The interface for Growl for OSX is built into the OSX Python distribution.
For Linux and Windows it is not.
That means we will have to find out what the interface is for Linux and Windows.
I'll add it the request list, but don't hold your breath

I think a simple package to the Growl port should be enough.
The Windows one seems to be a direct port of the OSX one.
