Input field for refresh rate in configuration page

Post by nicetocu »

It's probably an often used setting, the refresh rate in seconds. It defaults to 4 second and thats why i need to set it back to my preferred value of 2 seconds once the service has been restarted. It would be useful to give that value an input field in the configuration pages in order to set it permanently to a value preferred by the user.

It is permanent if you allow browser cookies to be kept.
Permanent per browser, per system that is.

Yes but setting this value by cookie is an inferiour solution than setting it in config.ini, if you want it to be set once and forever, setting it by cookie isnt doing the job, really. I do delete my cookies once per week and would like to set it one time and then forget about it, instead i have to readjusting it again and again. This is what config.ini is for.

The skin designer made a different choice.
Given that each skin can have different options, using cookies is not such a bad idea.
Maybe we'll do something about this specific option anyway. It's the one universal skin parameter.
