After download and when unpacking im getting this issue below. It unpacks but its just a file, it doesn't give it an extension or file type so plex doesn't recognize it .
Thanks

Re: File type issue
Don't know much about SickBeard, but what it says is that
SABnzbd is still busy unpacking the download.
Are you using the regular SickBeard script in SABnzbd?

Re: File type issue
that's correct, it was working fine then i did the update deleting the old sickbeard and installing the new version now im having issues.
Re: File type issue
I think this has to do with the folder_max_length ( 128 ) setting, it seems it now also limits the file name length?
Re: File type issue
Yes, it trims for size too in 0.7.17
It's a bit of an accident, but somehow makes sense.
Even so, I will remove that side-effect in the next release.

Re: File type issue
Sorry for hijacking the thread but I have the same issue where the file is extracted correctly and placed in the right folder but with no extension. I use SickBeard to grab the nzb's but use Sabnzb to do the renaming. Just as an note - with the shows that it doesn't give an extension too it also fails to delete the unpacking folder from the show directory.
My max folder length was set at 50, will changing it to 100 help with this issue?

Re: File type issue
The extension may be killed by trimming.
That's why this "feature" will go in the next release. Only folder trimming will be done.

Re: File type issue
I have the same problem but with CouchPotato.
File is being downloaded fine,
Renamed fine,
Moved to proper folder fine,
However it has no extension (just FILE) and Plex does not recognize it.
I can play it with VLC.
I am running 0.7.18
Thank you

Re: File type issue
If the poster used no extension, SABnzbd nor CouchPotato can fix it.
Are you using the trimming feature? In 0.7.18 it does not apply to actual file names, just the folder part.

Re: File type issue
Not using the trimming feature
This seems to be a very recent thing as I never had issues before just in the past 2 months.
TV does not seem to be affected but Movies seem to all doing the same thing, no extension
I'm no expert but have been using SAB, CP, SB for over a year no problems.
I have not changed settings
i have added a couple new indexers but these are coming from my original indexers.
SAB or CP are not throwing any errors in logs.
I'm stumped
Can I add an extension?
Thank you.

Re: File type issue
Are you synthesizing your file name with a Sort expression in Config->Sorting in SABnzbd?
If so, what is this expression?
I don't know what CP adds to your issue.

Re: File type issue
I don't think CP adds anything
expression looks fine and as I said i did not change anything
%title (%y)/%title (%y).%ext
like i said... stumped
