A Post-Processing Pause in the API

I found resume_pp but still have to go through the scheduler to pause post processing I think? I don't think its functionality is commonplace enough that it needs to be in the main interface, but if it were accessible through the API I could still make good use of it.
Or if there's a way to schedule a post processing pause to 'now' with the API could you help me with that?

I have just added pause_pp to the API (so for the next release 0.7.18)
That should cover your request.
Not sure why it wasn't implemented before.
