Multiple Servers

Post by e1320738 »

Hello,

As no one server works that great all the time, how does SABnzbd handle multiple primary servers? If one primary server does not have the part will it check the other primary servers for the part? Also, does multiple backup servers act in the fashion?

Thanks

With multiple primary servers, articles are distributed over servers.
If one primary doesn't have an article, the other is tried.
Backups are only used when none of the primaries has an article.

Just did some testing with 4 primary servers and the same 4 with a single connection as backup. Looking at the usage per server the backups are used, why would this be the case when SABnzbd should be checking all primary servers first?

Not sure, but this is a rather weird case isn't it?
One reason can be that the primaries timed out.
Another that you use too many connections per actual server.
Try a real use case.
