Can't find my downloads!!!

Post by WannabeActuary »

SabNZBD 0.4.5
Mac OSX 10.5.5

Hi, I'm a noob so be gentle!

I setup SABnzbd on the weekend and worked out how to download files to an external hard drive (thanks to this forum), everything worked fine and once all the downloads had completed I disconnected the drive.  I've plugged the drive back in today and set it up to download some more files but they don't seem to be downloading to the external drive, they're downloading to my Mac's internal hard drive but when I search for the folders/files with Spotlight it comes up blank.

I can see the drive's disk space decreasing in front of me so the files are going somewhere, but I haven't got a clue as to where! None of my SABnzbd settings have changed since the weekend and I have no problems accessing the external drive.

Any help anyone can give me as to how I can find the hidden completed downloads or why the problem has arisen in the first place would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Most likely SAB attempted to download something to your external when it wasn't connected, so it probably defaulted to your internal drive.

Take a look at the root level of your internal HD. You may see a folder with your external HD's name, follow that, and I think you'll locate your files.

In the future, it might be best to have SAB download to your internal if that external drive isn't going to be mounted 100% of the time.
