Hi!
I have no clue what i should do.
I already install SABnzbd direct on my Synology NAS DS 212.
Every Time when i put some nzb file in the watched folder, i get the warning, the SAbnzbd cannot read this file.
2013-12-15 17:34:26,196 WARNUNG: /volume2/Download/dir/xyz.nzb kann nicht gelesen werden
But when i put the file direct in SABnzbd, it works fine.
Do you have an hint, where this error is located?
thx

Re: SABnzbd for Synology - Cannot read nzb's from watched f
It looks like the path of the folder makes no sense for SABnzbd
or that access rights are not such that it can read the folder or the files.
What you need is the internal path of the NAS.
Are you using the path you listed also from the web browser?
If so, it cannot be the internal NAS path.

Re: SABnzbd for Synology - Cannot read nzb's from watched f
Thanks for your help.
But i am confused.
on my volume2, i have a directory called "Download".
In this directory there are 3 folders: complete, dir and incomplete. ( when i press "browse" i see on top "/volume2/Download/complete" )
When i put a nzb file maunally in SABnzbd, than it will be loaded and if everything is ok, than it goes to the "complete" folder.
if not, than it appears in "incomplete"
pls. correct me, but in my opinion that is the proof, that SABnzbd can handle the path.
only the watched "dir" folder doesn't work.

Re: SABnzbd for Synology - Cannot read nzb's from watched f
Even so, the NZB files that appear in the watched folder may not have the correct access rights.
Since they are placed from an external system in that folder, SABnzbd has no control over their accessibility.
Try to find out which access rights those files have.

Re: SABnzbd for Synology - Cannot read nzb's from watched f
So, you mean i have to make the folder on my NAS and not on my Mac so that the access rights are correct?
I try it and let you know.

Re: SABnzbd for Synology - Cannot read nzb's from watched f
Likely, assuming that created files take over the access rights of the folder.
Re: SABnzbd for Synology - Cannot read nzb's from watched f
hmpf...new error:
Cannot change permissions of /volume2/downloads/Incomplete
What does that mean now?

Re: SABnzbd for Synology - Cannot read nzb's from watched f
That SABnzbd has no permission to change permissions,
probably of /volume2/downloads
probably of /volume2/downloads
