I am using usenetserver and hma vpn. If I use a usenetserver ssl port I think that ssl becomes automatic. sabnzbd has a checkbox for ssl. I think, if I check the ssl box, that this is simply telling sabnzbd that I will be using the ssl provided by usenetserver. Then we come to hma which, I think (not sure), also provides ssl. Does this mean, if I use an ssl port and check the box in sabnzbd, that I have now energized ssl X 2? (thereby slowing down the download speed).
Thank you.........

Re: ssl question
Most Usenet providers have multiple ports for SSL and for normal traffic.
You'll have to tell SABnzbd both the right port number and whether or not SSL is required.
It cannot tell by itself.
VPN has little to do with this, VPN-s should be transparent for any internet connected software.
If you want maximum security, use both VPN and SSL.
