[Mavericks] not getting pop-up banners

Hi,

After upgrading to Mavericks (Software OS X 10.9 (13A603)), I noticed that the Alerts banners do not pop up anymore even though they are enabled.



Are any other Mac users seeing this problem?

Ain't it great how Apple keeps breaking backward-compatibility?
