SV Verification Failing - Some Shows Only...

I'm hoping a kind soul here can help me out with a config change I need to stop having to manually intervene with some of my regular downloads via SAB.

This is only happening with some shows I subscribe to, not others. But it's always the SAME shows.

Basically, SFV verification fails, due to a slightly undersized RAR file...I realize in the land of DCMA takedowns that some shows get clobbered almost immediately, but in this case when I manually pull the NZB the files are there, I just need to grab a par file or two to complete the repair. It seems the issue here is SAB is checking the SFV, it's not verifying, and it aborts, not even trying to grab any PARs to repair.

Is the issue perhaps on the SickBeard side for the grab? Or a setting I can change in SAB to have it seek out these PAR2 files so I don't need to manually pull these down and manually fix every week for these shows?

I appreciate any insight...I have a feeling it's something small I have set wrong, just not sure what it is.

SABnzbd tries SFV verification only when par2 repair aren't possible (or no par2 files are available).
Even the slightest damage will be fatal and unrar will not be able to do its work.
Look for posts that have par2 files.

Thanks for the reply. It's very strange, as 9 times out of 10 all the RAR files are there, just no PAR2 files. However, it extracts fine (in other words, it didn't need the PARs at all). However, it then still tries SFV verification, fails, and refuses to extract.

I did some more reading and it seems that what might be happening is that the NZB files that Sickbeard is feeding in might not be the most ideal. I changed my resources of NZBs to a different order, and put what I think is the best one at the top. Maybe this will help. Perhaps the NZBs themselves were the issue.

If a download unpacks properly, while the SFV check fails, there might be a problem with the SFV files.
Does the download report say whether any articles were missing?
BTW: you can disable the SFV check.

Thanks. I went ahead and moved my better NZB agent to the top, as well as disabled SFV checking, and it seems much happier now. I appreciate the responses.

Now, to get Couch Potato working...
