Local and Remote security

Post by decmac »

Hi,

I've an nginx server that I use as an SSL reverse proxy to access sabnzbd remotely. This is working without any issues.

However, sabnzbd is runnning on my local network without any security and my server does not support IP Tables :( I've tried enabling the username/password in sabnzbd, this works locally but breaks remote access. Nginx keeps prompting for the username/password and it fails to authorize it, it's as if it is stuck in a loop.

What would be the best way to secure sabnzbd both locally and remotely? and not using port forwarding.
