Alternate number of server connections for checking

The Check before download stage is significantly faster at no expense to PC resources if I use the maximum allowed number of server connections, but for downloading I only need to use 3 to 5 at most. Would it be possible to have the check phase use an alternate specified number of connections?

It would make the feature much more valuable to me. Or am I going about things wrong trying to use only as many connections as I see benefit from?

We no longer recommend this feature, use "Abort if job cannot be completed" instead.
