Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
Hi,
I'm trying to resolve issues that I have on Debian wheezy and discovered that for the same nzb file I get 520 missed articles on Debian which can't be repaired whereas I get 0 missed articles on Windows for the same sabnzbd version 0.7.12
On Debian I got the version from repository http://ppa.launchpad.net/jcfp/ppa/ubuntu. If anyone has an explanation or a workaround. Can it be a BUG ??
thanks

Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
Are the downloaded files repairable when you copy them to a Windows PC?
On Linux we sometimes see (rare) issues with wrong casing of names (given that Linux has
a case-sensitive file system and Windows has not).
Please email the NZB to bugs@sabnzbd.org and also add the URL of this message.

Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
Ok I can provide these informations. Moreover, I noticed that if I hover the download icon of the item on Windows I don't have missed articles (even if there is a repair in the log) whereas I have more than 600 missed articles on Linux (see http://troll.ws/image/bab4eab6). I made multiple tests and always see same results.
Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
You are using the exact same settings for both systems?
Especially: the same servers, same server time-outs, and same Config->Switches->"Send Group" ?
I still need the NZB.

Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
I have configured same parts on both systems. I don't know if there are defaults one that are not the same on the other system. "Send Group" is disabled on both.
I tried to repair linux files on windows but it says I need 49 more blocks (with commandline par2 v file.par2). I'll send you the nzb file and logs.

Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
You could run a diff on the two sabnzbd.ini's, so something like:srand06 wrote:I have configured same parts on both systems. I don't know if there are defaults one that are not the same on the other system. "Send Group" is disabled on both.
Code: Select all
diff sabnzbd-wheezy.ini sabnzbd-windows.iniRe: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
I get the same result on all platforms (OSX, Linux and Windows).srand06 wrote:Ok I can provide these informations. About 600 articles missing, not repairable.
Astraweb+Supernews over just Astraweb makes a small difference, but not enough.
Possibly you've been hit by odd Astraweb behaviour.
Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
I can assure you that under windows I get no problem (see in logs). And as you can see in logs I tested it multiple times from the same network, same time window. Does my windows laptop do something more than yours ?? weird
I'll check the difference between configuration files.

Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
I tested on Windows, OSX and Linux.
Same results. Slightly better when using supernews together with astraweb, but always unrepairable.

Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
Did you check the windows log I sent you ? I can't tell you more about it except that it worked, or sabnzbd tell me it worked even if it's not right
FYI, I use Windows 7 if it helps
Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
There's nothing useful in it, because it's not a "Debug" level log (adjustable on the Status page).srand06 wrote:Did you check the windows log I sent you ?
Unless you're able to repeat a successful download with a debug log, there's nothing for me to investigate.
Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
Debug logs sent for win7 and Linux. You'll find that files are well repaired under windows but not under Linux.
Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
Did you find some answers in them concerning my issue ?
Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
No.
Lately I'm struggling to get any work on SABnzbd done.
Looks mostly like intermittent behaviour of par2cmdline on the Linux system.

Re: Missing articles on Debian and not on Windows
If you are able to reproduce the issue with the nzb I sent you, it's the most important for now
Hope it helps.
Thank you for your work ! I'd enjoy helping you more, so tell me if I could.
