Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

Almost all downloads are failing
I have the latest version of sabnzbd and an active giganews account. Lately anything I click and try to download is coming back "Download failed - Out of your server's retention?" Some of them are less than 30 days old. Is anyone else having issues like this? Did something change recently (the past few months) that would affect this, with giganews?

"Download failed - Out of your server's retention?" should be read as "Download failed - Not on your server(s)". The text will change in version 0.8.0
Now back to your downloads: probably DMCA'd. Easy check: can you download http://binsearch.info/?q=bigrandomfile& ... 00&server= ? If so, your setup is correct, and your other downloads are DMCA'd. Nothing you can do about that.
