sab won't download anything

I feel like I'm missing something stupid simple...

Long story short, the machine I had sab on died, but I managed to salvage the ini file. I've checked and rechecked and everything is set up the same as far as I can tell - paths are the same, ip is the same, etc etc.

When sickbeard (on another machine) sends an nzb to sab, it just sits there saying 'waiting to fetch' with a timer that just counts down from 60 repeatedly. If I take the url and paste it into the browser, then upload it back to sab, it will show the file name and size and look like its doing something, but just sit there with no progress and no activity. A few searches resulted in me turning off https, but I don't think thats the issue. Plenty of HD space, permissions are correct, API keys are correct... i give up!

Check the URL with the browser while you are not logged in to the site where the NZB should come from.

The mistake some people make is that they have an URL that does not contain authentication data.
These work fine in browser as long as you are still logged in to the indexer site.
BTW: SABnzbd does not support all indexers.
Which one are you trying to access?

At the moment its trying to hit sickbeard and usenet crawler. This is a re-install and everything worked before, I haven't changed any configurations that I'm aware of. Sickbeard is configured to hit sickbeard, womble, nzb7 and usenet crawler.

Set logging to "debug" level on the Status page.
Then try another URL and let it do two tries.
Then open the log file on the status page.
The end of the log file should show you some more info about the problem.

I changed the URLs to have ###'s, but my log is filled with this (was already set to debug).

don't kill me.... I knew it was going to be something stupid. I had set the machines static IP address but forgot to give it DNS info... Everything appears to be running again. Thanks for your help :-P
