Third party cookies?

Post by darkpl »

Hi,

Recently I've started blocking third party cookies on all websites. After going to my local SABnzbd interface, I've noticed an icon saying that Chrome has blocked some cookies on the page. Clicking on it allows me to see what is blocked, here is the result:

The question is: why is SABznbd using third party cookies on a local interface webpage? I understand the use of local cookies (to track settings etc), but use of third party is strange and a bit shady, at least to me.

This is not part of sab. Probably something else you installed, like one of those toolbars or similar addons/backdoors.

Which page are you accessing when you see this report?
The main page?
We are getting a web frame from sourceforge.net, but only for the main Config page.

This is showing up on any page SABnzbd is feeding me from localhost.
No toolbars installed, Ghostery keeping all other cookies out.

EDIT
Actually, nevermind. I've just cleared all cookies for gosidekick.net and they are not showing up on either interface from localhost or on your forums. Seems to be some residue from other websites (which is rather worrying itself).
Thread can be deleted, thanks for the support and great software ;]
