SABnzb Starts But Won't Open Browser

Hello.

I'm having a problem with my new install, U recently upgraded to Windows 7 64 Bit from XP Pro, and now I can't seem to get SABnzbd to work. I am getting the following message:

SABnzbd.exe 0.7.11

SABnzbd needs a free tcp/ip port for its internal web server.
Port 7777 on localhost was tried , but it is not available.
Some other software uses the port or SABnzbd is already running.

Please restart SABnzbd with a different port number.

Press Startkey+R and type the line (example):
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SABnzbd\SABnzbd.exe" --server localhost:7778

If you get this error message again, please try a different number.


Program did not start!

I have tried all sorts of port numbers to no avail. Here is what the SABnzbd.exe.log file says:

File "sabnzbd\utils\systrayiconthread.pyo", line 238, in execute_menu_option

TypeError: argument of type 'NoneType' is not iterable

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am running Firefox 19, which seems to be working flawlessly on it's own.

I'm also running Windows 7 64 Bit SP1, and it has been updated to current levels by auto updates.

Running Peerblock and Zonealarm 11.0, but disabling both doesn't make any difference.

Uninstall SABnzbd and re-install it.

I've already did that several times, but I just did it again. No change. I get the tray icon on the right, but then I get the error message I posted above.

I also just uninstalled and reinstalled firefox. No change.

I have installed Waterfox and tried that. Still can't get SBAnzbd to work.

So, I am moving on. BinReader works just fine and will do everything I need to do. So, after several successful years of SABnzbd, I am moving on to another NZB client.

If binreader does what you want, that's fine.
It means that SABnzbd wasn't the ideal program for you in the first place :)
