Can I manually input an API key?

Post by beatmstrj »

I use Sabnzbd on several computers but I also use Sabconnect with Chrome. I also also use Chrome sync. Every time I use a different computer I have to change the API key in Sabconnect because Chrome Sync saves it across all computers. The easy solution would be to use the same API key for all of my Sabnzbd installs but this doesnt seem to be possible. I've tried to enter a key manually in sabnzbd but it won't allow this. Any ideas on how to get around this?

Yes you can!

Method:
Stop sabnzbd.
Find and open the file sabnzbd.ini. See http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/faq#toc19 for the location.
Search for the line "api_key". Change the value, save & exit the file
Start sabnzbd
