SABnzbd won't start, re-installing doesn't fix (Windows)

I keep getting a error saying SABnzbd won't start due to a issue with the .ini file. I had this error in the past regarding the .ini file after having SABnzbd running for a year with no issues. I simply did a fresh re-install and that fixed it. This is the second time this is randomly occurring so I'd like to permanently fix the issue this time instead of just re-installing it. This is a dedicated media box so there are no changes made system wise to it.

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
Install-type: Windows Installer
Skin (if applicable): Smpl
Firewall Software: None

The log looks perfectly normal (but possibly incomplete).
Does the System tray icon appear?
Possibly you disabled the automatic browser start.

I only cut the bottom of the log since it was starting fine then.

System Tray icon does not appear, SABnzbd has a internet explorer window that pops up with the ini file error every time I try to start it.

Yes, I disabled the automatic browser start. I have it setup so SABnzbd and Sickbeard run in the background while XBMC is running.

What does the info in IE say exactly?
Have you looked at the content of the INI file?

I checked in the ini file and there was nothing in it. I have since re-installed SABnzbd and things are working again but I'm sure this is just going to happen again

Normally (well abnormally) this only happens when you switch off without shutting down the PC.
Is there no sabnzbd.ini.bak file either?

I don't remember seeing a .ini.bak file to be honest. Since I already re-installed I can't go back to check.

So that time has come again... 0.7.11... same exact error... blank .ini file. Delete .ini file, still creates a blank .ini file.

Haven't re-installed yet. Checked for the .ini.bak file and it is there but blank as well.

This is just getting ridiculous. It usually takes me 15-20 minutes to configure everything back after re-installing since I run Sickbeard with scripts. Does anyone know the solution so I can stop re-installing this damn thing 4-5 times a year?

I understand your frustration, but it seems a very rare error.
I have multiple systems with SABnzbd versions that crash all the time (because I testing new software).
In the five years I worked on it, I've yet to lose a single INI file in the way described by you.
Is it any wonder that I haven't been able to reproduce your problem?
I would love to solve your issue, but I have no idea how.
