remote SAB management + VPN

Post by Vanamonde »

Hi,

So I have a high speed VPN service that I subscribe to and I am having difficulty getting to my http://localhost:8080 page when connecting remotely. I use a daemon program to update my IP with my dyndns account which it does correctly when I am connected over VPN.

If I have the VPN service turned OFF everything works great. Once I turn the VPN service ON and I double check that my dyndns IP has been updated, I can no longer access my sabnzbd page.

Thanks for any help or insite anyone might have!

All the best,
Vanamonde

So from where to where is the VPN? And where is SAB running?

And if you can't access via localhost, have you tried the dyndns name?

The VPN is being used to encrypt my data. It's just a security protocol. SAB is running locally at my house. localhost works fine, just remote management doesn't work.
