Here is a good challenge….

OS: i5 Mac Mini, OSX 10.8.2

The problem:
Sabnzbd+ (version 0.7.9) is not downloading nzbs that I added in Sickbeard and Couchpotato. Additionally, Sabnzbd files cannot be located. For example, the .int file is not under Application Support. I have root access and have also done a search for any supporting files without finding any. This could be another reason why Sab is not saving nzb API key.

1. The subscriptions I have are from usenetserver.com and nzbsrus.com. Both are active and good to go.

2. Sickbeard and Couchpotato both acknowledge that the connection to Sabnzbd is good to go with user name, password, and API key.

3. Sabnzbd will not save nzbsrus.com (short) API key. In fact, Sab will not save any nzb keys for third parties to add nzb files. Yes, I can generate a new one, but that does not help sabnzbd or nzbsrus to add nzb files to sabnzbd.

4. Other nzb providers are checked for Sickbeard and Couchpotato.

5. I do not want to add an RSS feed, because Sabnzbd will download movies/tv shows that I do not want.

Does any one know and/or have a solution. I have spent months trying to figure this out by myself.

SABnzbd uses the profile of the account under which it is run.
Start it from a Terminal window to see some diagnostic info:
/Applications/SABnzbd.app/Contents/MacOS/SABnzbd --console

Sickbeard will work with Sab, but maybe SB is using their own "Sick Beard Index" and not nzbsrus. So, 2 problems here...

1) Cannot locate Sab application support files....yes, I have been to every possible forum and have root access.

2) Couchpotato is not communicating with Sab.

Since, CP does not have their own indexing....this tells me that there must be a problem with Sab.int file (being that I cannot locate) and if it is not on my OS then I cannot save nzbsrus api key into Sab. The same nzbsrus api is interred into CP.

How do I COMPLETELY uninstall Sab. Fyi, this is not as simple at the "Internet" forum suggest. For example, if I drag the app icon into the trash, and then reinstall sab....all my setting remain. If I clear out my broswser's cashe and cookies, it helps some for Sab's reinstall wizard; however, application support files are still not viewable or located in under Library/Application Support.

I can keep going, but hopefully y'all get the picture.

BTW: SABnzbd's Config main page shows where the INI file is located.

Yes, I have tried your suggestion. Thank you. Really didn't see anything that would stand out. Should I be looking at something specific?

The INI file says it is located in /Users/lemichna/Library/Application Support/SABnzbd/sabnzbd.ini. This is one problem I have. I am in /Users/lemichna/Library/Application Support/ but no SABnzbd/..... I thought that maybe it was hidden but I "think" I have everything unhidden. I am seeing the other application support files. Yes, it is a mystery!

The info on the main Config page will show where SABnzbd read the INI file,
so if your Config has content (like server definitions) then the file MUST be at that location.
The logging output will show access to more files.
Add the -l2 parameter (that's minus ell two), for more output.
