How to do a "Fresh Start"

Post by cmbcne »

Warning: "Newbie Alert"

Hi all. Just set up SABnzbd and Sick Beard over Christmas. This is the first time doing this. With all the celebrating -- including sipping liquid refreshment -- I'm afraid I managed to get myself totally confused.

After trying a bunch of things, I think I finally have it sort of figured out. Now I'd like to clear all the history and logs, and whatever else Sick Beard keeps so I can start fresh. I need to do the same thing for SABnzbd as well. This way I won't be blocked by old records that say it's already downloaded of failed before so it won't try again, and so on.

How do I do this for both programs? I know I could just blow it away and reinstall, but then I'd have to remember all the settings that finally worked correctly, so I'd prefer to start from inside what's working and just refresh the logs/history/whatever.

I'm going to post this same question in the Sick Beard forum.

SABnzbd plays no role in this.
SickBeard keeps track of what you download.

Hi shypike
Thanks for the reply. As I said, I'm new to this, so that helps clarify things a bit.
I'm still hoping that the folks who gather here are also knowledgeable in Sick Beard and might be able to add to this discussion.
