How to Install under XP as Administrator

Hi,

I've installed SABNZBd under the Administrator account. However, my regular HTPC account is a normal user. I have sabnzbd in the normal user account startup, but it does not launch. Presumably that is because the normal user can't read the ini file in the Adminstrators profile? So, how can I get this working. I tried just installing under the normal user account, but could not get anything to run. That may be due to windows firewall, but what exactly do I need to configure for that?

Anyone have tips for installing under XP?

Try the following:

Start>Run
Enter (with quotes):

Code: Select all

"C:\Program Files\SABnzbd\SABnzbd.exe" -f "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\sabnzbd\sabnzbd.ini"

Thanks for that. It turns out that was not my problem - it was a user permission issue.
