giganews diamond with ssl, should i check the ssl box in server or not??

hi:)

i'm using 0.4.4 and giganews, i've just upgraded to the diamond package that includes ssl.

so i checked the ssl box in the sever section of the config, but when i do nothing dowloads?? when i uncheck it, it starts downloading again.

what am i doing wrong??

You need to change the port number too, for SSL it's 443.

As a side note: we cannot set it for you.
Not every server uses 443 for SSL, but Giganews does.

use the application giganews offers, then set Sabnzbd to use localhost and port 119. The app then handles the SSL, compression etc.
