Ik heb een tijdje geleden een Synology DS213+ gekocht voor fileserver en downloaden, in de eerste instantie gebruikte ik download station om via nieuwsgroepen te downloaden, dit ging goed, echter werden de bestanden niet gerepareerd en uitgepakt terwijl dat wel in bij de instellingen stond aangevinkt. Ik ging dus op zoek naar een alternatief programma en kwam uit op Sabnzbd, toen ik deze eenmaal had draaien en iets begon te downloaden viel mij op dat hij niet voorbij de 3.6mbytes/sec kwam, terwijl download station meestal tussen de 12.5 en 13 mbytes/sec zat.
Ik heb al dit forum doorzocht en heb ook al op andere websites gezocht naar een oplossing, maar ik kon niks vinden, weet iemand hier of er wat aan te doen is?

A while ago, I purchased a Synology DS213+ to use as fileserver and downloading machine, at first I used the download station application to download files through newsgroups, while this worked fine, the application didn't repair and extract the downloaded files as I had told it to in the settings menu. So i searched for an alternative program and I found Sabnzbd, once up and running I noticed that the download speeds where never higher then 3.6mbytes/sec, while download station always ran at 12.5 to 13mbytes/sec.
I have searched this forum and a lot of other websites for a solution, but I wasn't able to find anything, does anyone here know of a solution?

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

SABnzbd is slower than some other programs.
This isn't very noticeable on modern PC hardware, but it is on low-powered embedded systems.
Assuming that you have enough memory (say above 512M) it's worth settting
an article cache in Config->General. 150M is a good value.
Next, don't overdo the amount of connections per Usenet server, 16 is usually more than enough.
Judging by your hardware, it's not very likely that you will ever get to the speed of 12mbyte/sec.

Too bad sabnzbd can't download @ 12mb/sec, and with my limited knowledge strange that the standard download client can get to 12mb/sec, from what I've read this is because of python right?
