Sabnzbd to IPv6 Server problems

Post by mindsignals »

I'm a first time Sabnzbd and IPv6 user. I'm trying to establish a working connection between sabnzbd and newszilla6.xs4all.nl on port 119. However, any attempts I have tried result in connection timed-out.
I have the gogoClient utility (basic) with established IPv6 connectivity and can hit IPv6-only websites in the browser without issue.
I have configured my server to be :: for sabnzbd.
However, the test connection to newszilla6.xs4all.nl on port 119 fails. I do not enter any login/pw credentials for that site. I have also tried the weathergirl address, though I don't know if it is confirmed good, so I'm using newszilla6 almost exclusively for my tests.

Other things I tried:
Putty with localhost 119 port forwarding to my IPv6 address (with colons, without brackets) and port 119
netsh interface to map localhost port 119 to the destination site and destination port using v4tov6.

I've been trying the same with my Newsrover client, which also fails to connect, and am suspecting it is not translating the request for IPv6 handoff, but am not really sure...this was the reason I tried using putty and netsh interface each.
I have no problem connecting to my subscribed newsserver which is on IPv4.

I've been scratching my head over this for a couple of days, and definitely could use some help figuring this out.

gogo blocks usenet, and with all the freebies on port 119 only there's no way around that. Get your v6 connectivity elsewhere if you want usenet.
