RARS from another source?

Post by qwesta »

I d/l some files from an NZb with newsleecher, I now want to place these in the folder where SABnzbd is d/l so I can save time, but this seems not to work for me.
Any suggestions one can do or is this not possible?
thank you

Not sure why you want this, but here's a recipe.
Pause downloading in SABnzbd.
Load the NZB into SABnzbd.
Remove the job, chose the option of deleting without deleting files.
Move the already downloaded files into the job folder in the "temporary download folder".
In the same folder, go to the __ADMIN__ folder, remove everything starting with "SAB".
Go to SABnzbd's Status page, tab Queue Repair, in the "orphan" list pick your job folder.
The job should now be back in the queue.
Resume downloading.

OK, thank you for the reply.
My job is done and all the files have been moved to a folder, how can I tell SABnzbd to do the extraction, now that I can only see the History?
Thank you

I have tried all you said 2 times, each time I get it to work but it shows me the folder in the History(repair is needed) .
I don't really know what I have to do to repair the files there and unpack them with this program.
May be you can find me some other or more help on this.
thank you

Try a few first with QuickPar and WinRAR.
Do these folders have any par2 files?
It could be that they are just not repairable.

yes this was a huge Nzb (230GB) there are rars and also pars in there ( 6 files are bad) so I thought I could get repaired with these lots of PARS, but every time I try tto open quick par it works and all of a sudden closes itself.
Then I thought I could use a program which can help do this (built in repair and extract), that is why I wanted to try this out.
NB:- I wish I could try winrar but the files don't have any recovers built i them.

If QuickCheck chokes on this, there's every reason assume that SABnzbd's par2 checker will too.
We just use par2cmdline, which is the "classic" implementation. QC is better than par2cmdline,
but unusable for batch-processing.
