Help with folder download options

Post by traveller1981 »

I've been using Sabnzbd for years now, and all has been working great until I reinstalled in my OS.
Sabnzbd is now all set up and working, but I cannot get it to extract the files directly into the 'Complete' folder, rather than putting in Show Name/file name folders.
My previous set up was extracting tv shows directly into the complete folder and movies into their own named folders within the complete folder. I can get the config settings back to what they used to be. Any help greatly appreciated.

Read the text at the top of Config->Categories.
You probably forgot to add an asterisk to the appropriate folders.
Or you don't have the right Sort expression, if you used that before.

Thanks, will check that out.
I'm pretty sure I was using sort expressions before, but I can't get the right one now to get it to what I want, which is frustrating, as I keep having to download something to check it.
Any idea what I need?

I used to just get the nfo, the mkv, any subs, and often the sfv file, but that was it. Now I am getting all sorts of other files, and everything is in individual folders. This is a newer version of sab than I was using too, so maybe that has something to do with it.

You should have saved your sabnzbd.ini file...

I guess you had an extension based fiter in Config->General to get rid of the small stuff.
Experiment a bit with the Sort settings; there's a preview mode there too.
More recent versions should have less bugs but not behave different.

can you get it remove the \ before the preview as it looks like this will just put it in another folder, rather than just rename it.

Don't understand your last remark.
What is the sort expression that you use?

Whatever expression I set up, it ends with \ which makes it look like it is creating a folder name, rather than the naming convention for the file.
