How to make latest SAB the default

I was running 0.6.14 and have downloaded 0.7.3. How do I make the latest (0.7.3) the default as everything keeps opening in the older version.

Since you're not telling what your operating system is, it's just guessing.
How did you install?
Did you un-install the previous version?

Operating system is OSX 10.8
I clicked on update in 0.6.14 but I dont know how to uninstall it now I have 0.7.3

Clicking up update brings you to the download page of SourceForge.net.
First stop SABnzbd.
From the download page, download the DMG file, mount it, click the appropriate folder for your OSX version
and drag-and-drop the SABnzbd icon to "Applications".
Tell OSX to replace the existing app, when it asks for that.
That's the way most OSX apps are installed (except those in the AppStore).
