    Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
    Use Test Server in Config > Servers.

Slow downloads

I have loaded SABnzbd 0.7.3 and using Internode server. PC is running Windows XP.
SABnzbd is showing download speeds of 26KBps whereas OzBroadband speedtest indicates download speed of 729 KBps.
Why is SABnzbd running this slow?

Aren't you mixing bytes/second and bits/second?
Other than that: who's your Usenet provider?
Are you sure your ISP isn't squeezing Usenet downloads?
Is your NZB within your server's retention time?
If not, SABnzbd will show a low download speed, while just getting "missing article" messages.

Both speeds are bytes and not bits. Usenet server is Astraweb which is free through ISP Internode. Other internode users have speeds 700KBps or more through SANnzbd.

How many connections did you set in Config->Servers?

I left it at the default which is 8.

"default"? SABnzbd has not default vaule for number of connections.

Anyway: have you tried another download program (like NNTPgrab or NZBget), of course "ceteris paribus" ;) so will all other parameters (NZB, newsserver, computer, connection etc) the same? I wonder if that gives a higher speed.
