Standby makes my PC hibernate

Post by acidduck »

Hi all.

The "on finish" operations "Standby PC" and "Hibernate PC" does the same on my Windows 7 x64, as both options sends the computer into hibernation.

I thought "Standby PC" should sleep my computer ???

This is likely a result of the power configuration of Windows being incorrect.
SABnzbd uses the official system calls for standby and hibernate.
However in Windows power setup you can chose which actions are really done.

Could you point me to where these settings can be configured, please? I'm pretty shure I haven't modified anything. Sleep and hibernate works as it should when I select it from the start menu.

I have the same problem with xp. The only way I've been able to have sabnzbd put my pc to sleep mode is to disable hiberation.
