I've been using for a while now sabnzbd along with par2cmdline 0.4 with Intel Threading Building Blocks 2.1 the x64 build from http://chuchusoft.com/par2_tbb/download.html and i must say that i had no issues so far , but the scanning and repairing speed was greatly improved on vista x64. There is no additional confings required in sabnzbd's confing , a simple overwrite of the default par version with the x64 one works like i charm so windows x64 users could simply do this by hand.
So here's my sugestion adding to the windows installer the x64 version also and when the program is installed check the os and install the right build x86 or x64, this way windows users on x64 platforms will have a smoother and faster par2 checking/repairing.
Hope it helps

Re: Windows x64 par 2 support
Our enthusiasm for chuchusoft's work has chilled quite a bit.
We found out that their version breaks on downloads that were created with the classic par2.
It fails when the filenames contain accented characters (like è etc.)
Chuchusoft has had the arrogance of creating a non-compatible PAR2 format.
They are using Unicode instead of iso-8859-1, which leads to mutual incompatibility
as soon as filenames outside the plain ASCII set are used.
So, I'm not even sure we will continue to include chuchusoft's version of par2.

Re: Windows x64 par 2 support
Personaly i didn't have any troubles either with the 32 or 64 bit, but if that's true i can see your point . I gues will have to stick to the 5 years old version of par2comandline .shypike wrote: Our enthusiasm for chuchusoft's work has chilled quite a bit.

Re: Windows x64 par 2 support
You don't have to. you can always drop in this version.
As long as you don't have foreign language downloads, there's no problem.
And if so, you only have to do a manual repair and unpack.
