Repair failed, not enough repair blocks

Post by Xeros »

Hi, I have just installed SABnzbd and I can't get it to work properly. Before I started downloading, I set Ignore Samples to Do not download. Then I proceeded to download my first tv show, but it failed and I got an error of "Repair failed, not enough repair blocks (3 short)". I looked at the files and many of the .r00-.r22 files were different sizes:

I read that Ignore Samples set to Do not download can cause file downloads to break, so I set Ignore Samples to Delete after download. I did the same download as before, and it failed once again with a similar error (about 10 blocks short - I have messed around with the PAR2 files, so I can't recreate the error). The files were similar:

The next morning I loaded up SABnzbd, and it had added these two downloads to the queue again, with size remaining 58MB. I let it finish but the download still failed.
I tried the same download with Binreader and it worked well, all the files were 48,829 KB apart from .r22, which was 22,887 KB. And it extracted perfectly and plays well. But Binreader thinks the download is incomplete:

Any idea what is wrong?

Note: my usenet provider is fastusenet.org and I'm using SABnzbd version 0.7.0.

Edit: Just tried another download: Spartacus.Blood.and.Sand.S01E05.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION and got error: Repair failed, not enough repair blocks (20 short). Again, about a third of the files are not 48,829 KB.
And looking through the log I have did not pass SFV check for most files.

Does SABnzbd download the same as binreader does (file sizes plus number of files)?
Do the files downloaded by SABnzbd verify properly with QuickPar ?
Can you email the NZB to bugs@sabnzbd.org (please include the URL of this post)?

1.Both SABnzbd and binreader give me a .rar and .r00-.r22. Using binreader, I get all files at 48,829 KB apart from .r22 (at 22,889 KB). But SABnzbd gives me about half at 48,829 KB and the rest all random (image in first post).
2. I assume I verify with QuickPar by opening the .sfv?? With the first download using SABnzbd I get 17 files missing or damaged. With the second download using SABnzbd I get 15 files missing or damaged. With the download from binreader I get repair not needed.
3. I have emailed the nzb.

Thanks for your help!!!
