Import and merge queue after OS reisntall

Post by axel78 »

I have reinstalled Linux on my computer. Is it possible to import the previous queue and merge it with the current download queue ?

So you have reinstalled Linux? Did you save the old queue in some way? I hope so, otherwise the old queue is gone.

And you want to import? The queue is in ~/.sabnzbd/admin/. I think that if you copy everything there into your new ~/.sabnzbd/admin, you're OK. Attention: first stop SABnzbd.

Merging is a different story. I think putting the old (or new) NZBs into the queue is the best method.

I still have my previous $HOME. One part of the queue consist of files that are 100% not downloaded, so for this part I can import the compressed NZB files without problem. But I also have elements in the queue that are partly downloaded. How is the information about segments that have already been downloaded stored ? I have also seen a "reconstruct" function in SABnzbd but I don't know if it applies to my situation.

If the location for your "temporary download folder" is where your old jobs are,
you can use queue reconstruction.
Or just restore the "orphaned" items one by one.
Both on the Status/Queue-repair page.
