0.7.0 fails to start

I've tried downloading 0.7.0 from multiple SourceForge mirrors and every one fails to start. Running the safemode version doesn't work either.

Running the console version comes back with

File "SABnzbd.py", line 81, in <module>
ImportError: No module named growler

Reinstalling RC2 works as expected.

Bizarre, the official release does work, but maybe not on your system.
Have you tried the ZIP version?
Just unpack it somewhere and start one of the exe files.

Had a look around the installed files and compared them with the ZIP version.

In lib/sabnzbd.zip/sabnzbd
0.7.0 has a growler.pyo, but neither RC2, nor any of the installers I've downloaded have it.

I had the same problem with 0.6.6, except with panic.pyo (thread).

I did a diff of the lib/sabnzbd.zip file lists from the ZIP version and the Installer version - http://addict.net.nz/sabnzbd.zip.diff. Several files missing and a couple added.

Tried downloading the installer with Firefox, tried downloading it using an external shell account, all have the same problem. As per the other thread, running it as administrator works.

Copied the files from the ZIP version over the installer ones, and everything seems to work fine.

I'm just going to leave it at that. Apologies for bugging you again with a problem that only seems to happen to me.

Still, it is a very odd situation.
Do you happen to have an overzealous virus scanner?

I'm as baffled by this as you are.

I downloaded the installer from all of the SF mirrors from Linux (so, no anti-virus getting involved) and ran an md5sum across them - they all came back the same, and they were all the same as the several I downloaded from Windows.

The only thing I can think of is SF has some sort of weird geo-based system that is messing up downloads to NZ, but that sounds too wacky to be true.

Do you have anywhere else I can download the installer from, even if it's only temporary?

If the md5sum of the EXE file is this, then it's the correct one:

It is the same md5 sum that I'm getting.

You have the correct one.
It must be something on your system.
Or a bug in the installer that manifests itself only on your system.
