Hello,
Version: 0.7.0~beta2-0ubuntu1~jcfp1~lucid
OS: Ubuntu Lucid
Install-type: http://ppa.launchpad.net/jcfp/ppa/ubuntu/ lucid/main i386 Packages
Skin (if applicable): Default
Firewall Software: None
Are you using IPV6? no
Is the issue reproducible? yes
My main news account has recently expired, and I had a backup configured as well (much more expensive per MB). When the main account expired, the server refused log ins, and sabnzb then proceeded to download from the backup, and drain all the backup credit I had.
This behaviour is expensive. I believe a better behaviour is to use the backup only if main is accessible, but the ARTICLE is not available. An inaccessible main (whether due to routing, bad login credentials, or expired account) should not trigger the backup account to be used.
Thank you,
Kelly
Backup should only be used if the main account is accessible

Re: Backup should only be used if the main account is access
It's not unusual for usenet servers to refuse logins occasionally.
There's no clear cut solution for this, although it seems so for you.
Lot's of people use very unreliable free servers as their primary server
and have a paid block account as backup.
