It keeps happening!
Excuse my ignorance, but I'm pretty new to sabnzbd and usenet in general, but I have read the sticky posts on here.
That being said, I have a problem, and I'm not sure what the correct name for it is.
All of my downloads so far (NZB files - even tried random ones to make sure) download up until there's about 20MB left to go, and then it just hangs there forever.
I've tried using quickpar, because I figured that'd help, but I believe I'm getting the "not enough blocks" problem.
Does anyone have any advice?
Again, sorry for speaking in the most dumbed-down terms, but this is really aggravating.
Thanks!

Have tried 0.7.0Beta2?
See Announcements board.

Re: It keeps happening!
Well, I just downloaded the beta, and tried two more downloads, and they both crawl to about 20kb, and then just stop - always at about 20mb before the download is finished.
I'm getting the NZBs from NZBmatrix, but also files from other sites are doing the same exact thing.
I'm not sure what could be causing this. If it's the program, the person uploading it, or just me.

Re: It keeps happening!
If you click on the entry in the queue, you will see a list of files that
have not been downloaded yet. Are there any?
Do you have multiple Usenet servers?
Which Usenet provider?
Work-around:
You can force termination by setting the job's priority in the queue to "Stop".
Post processing will start immediately.

Well, on the downloads list, it's multiple downloads (maybe every 5-6 down the list) with only a little bit left to go for each of them
My provider is Astraweb, and i'm only using one server - the US one. Should I add more servers, like the EU one?
I set my current one to Stop and I'll see what happens
Sander, I assume it was a typo. I only saw beta2 as well.
Re: It keeps happening!
Yeah, it's Beta2. I can make a typo too.
I'm having all sorts of trouble with Astraweb myself, so I'll need to look into this anyway.

Re: It keeps happening!
Well, so far, I've tried three downloads (that have previously failed, continuously) with force option, and they have all downloaded successfully.
So, thanks!
I really appreciate it.

Re: It keeps happening!
Thanks, but I'm not happy about the fact that you need to force a stop.
Can you email one of the "trouble" NZB files to bugs@sabnzbd.org ?
(Please add the URL of this post.)

Re: It keeps happening!
Sure thing.
Do you think it could be a problem with the NZB file itself?
It was happening with files of different sizes.

Re: It keeps happening!
Hello I have read the thread. This "error" keeps on happening to me also. Very frustrating indeed. Are there any fixes. it only appears to be happening to certain downloads otherwise everything works like a dream.
Any help would be appreciated.

"me also" is only true if it happens in combination with Astraweb.DIVALILLIE wrote:This "error" keeps on happening to me also
If you're not using astraweb, please tell which one you do use, because that is useful info.
Re: It keeps happening!
It is a very old post with lots of missing articles, scotaarr wrote: Do you think it could be a problem with the NZB file itself?
but I was able to successfully download it from Astraweb (albeit with a 10 minute repair run).
Do you have an additional server setup?
Re: It keeps happening!
By "additional setup," do you mean having another server set up? I currently only have the US server configured.
Re: It keeps happening!
I just thought of one more thing.
In its default setup, SABnzbd will still have the same infinite retry problem that it had in the 0.6.x releases.
Check Config->Switches
Set "Maximum number of retries per server" to 3 (default).
Set "Apply maximum retries only to optional servers" off (the default is on).
