Chrome and sabnzbd as windows service

Post by brynolf »

I have a weird problem I hope someone can help me with.

I have a computer that I use for my home cinema system, running windows 7 and xbmc. To download media transparently to anyone watching a movie I set up a second user that I access via remote desktop. I found a fix so that multiple users can be logged in to windows 7 at the same time. I have installed sabnzbd as a service and it works in the user account running xbmc. Now to my problem.

If I restart the computer the first user account (UA) logs on automatically locally. I log on to UA2 remotely. sabnzbd and the helper service runs as they should. If I try to access sabnzbd from UA2 using chrome, chrome hangs. I use the smpl white iterface, and the left frame loads fine, but chrome hangs before it can display my download history and the like. If I access sabnzbd from UA1 first it works for both users. After some time (I checked after 24h) chrome hangs again if I try to access sabnzbd in UA2.

Everything seems fine if I use firefox. I'm grateful for any help or hints I can get!

Despite your complicated setup it sounds like a Chrome problem.
I assume you are using Remote Desktop?
It seems that not all software is compatible with that.
