Too many connections

Post by Warden »

I keep getting 10x Too many connections to server news.eu.supernews.com:443 in my warning log, it's getting annoying. I have 30 connections to the server and have set max to 20 in SAB, I don't understand?

Is another news-download program using the account too? It could be on your computer, on another computer/NAS, or on a friend's computer with whom you shared your account.

Apart from this: what happens with the warnings and the speed when you lower the setting in SAB to 10?

I use Supernews too, but I never see that happening.
So far I only see this with Astraweb (which has all sorts of problems).
For Supernews, using 30 connections serves no purpose,
because each connection costs overhead.
My experience is that the optimum is about 16 connections.
