Folder problems

Post by cloggy »

I just installed this addon, but i have problems grasping the "folder" naming and placement.

I kept the standard "downloads/incomplete" and "downloads/complete" in my setup.
As i understand these folders are mapped to my "media" share on my NAS ?
But when i look in my file explorer i see no such folders under "Media".

I tried inserting UNC paths including my nas name, so something like this:

\\NAs-Servername\Media\sabnzbd\incomplete
But after this the addon stopped working, not wanting to get bookmarks, etc. (yes i restarted the app)
So i reinstalled and kept the default again.

But my problem remains, why can't i see the damn "default" folders?

I use win7 -64 bit with a Netgear NV+ NAS (sparc).

You have to know which internal server path maps to which UNC path.
You definitely cannot use UNC paths inside SABnzbd.
Check the forums of your NAS supplier or ask the add-on supplier.

Thank you for the quick reply.
But if i use mapped drive instead of the UNC path, the drive is only recognized as drive "Z:" when my pc is running (because Win7 do the mapping), but i want the download to be able to run when the pc is shut down (like nzbget does).
Is this possible ?
Add-on supplier? isen't this the place ?(sabnzbd)

Edit:
When using the default folders, where DO the files end up ? your wiki says it's related to the users "My document" folder in on Windows, but nothing is there.

Where are you running SABnzbd?
On the NAS itself?
We do not supply add-ons for NAS systems, but other people do.
My guess is that you got it from here:
