Im using SickBeard with sabnzbd and have no issues untill today
A new episode was shown and Sickbeard sent the nzb to sabznbd
It errored with "URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file"
Im using nzbmatrix as my API search provider.
So i logged into nzbmatrix and downloaded the NZB manually it downloaded and extracted fine.
Can anyone help with whats going on here as ideally i want SickBeard to download the file and process it correctly.

Re: URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file
i manually added the file to sabznbd and it worked.
so must be some type of API issue?

Known issue with nzbmatrix.com
Occasionally their API refuses to deliver specific NZB files.

Re: URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file
Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I am having this same error but with an nzb from nzbsrus. Is this also an issue with their API? (The nzb is being added by sickbeard). Any suggestions for a fix, or do I just have to add the nzb manually?
Re: URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file
Maybe. Each site has it's own fantasy error messages or just throws a useless HTML page instead of an NZB.
No idea what nzbsrus do.

Re: URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file
Hi,
I am having this issue also, with nzbrus, the funny thing is when I set the series to wanted again in Sickbeard (the nzb's come from nzbrus but are fetched by sickbeard) then they are re-added and work flawlessly, from the same source etc.
And not all files go wrong, just 20%.
Any clue what might be causing this?
I am running sabnzbd 6.14 on qnap419p+.

Re: URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file
hi im also having this issue the guys at nzb matrix think this is the issue
The RSS and API are both working, im thinking sab does not like the comment at the bottom of some of the nzbs

Seems every nzb I check when people report issues has this near the bottom of the file. As the file downloads fine each time when checked.
Im not sure if this is the case or not but could you guys have a look at this cheers

This is a perfectly valid XML comment and is accepted by SABnzbd.lpb001 wrote: <!-- Generated by newsmangler at 2012-04-06 00:30:28 UTC -->
There could be other problems, but this line itself is not the problem.
The problem is much more likely to be aborted NZB files, which happens when indexers are overloaded.
Try the new 0.7.0Beta2 release, which is more persistent in retrying.
(See Announcements board).

Re: URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file
I get the same error "» URL Fetching failed; (), Try again " as well as the one in the title often from nzbmatrix. However if I press the "Try again" link on the queue it will always work after that. Is there some way to automate this process so I don't have to bother to click it every single time?

Re: URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file
I did not but I just upgraded to it. I can't seem to find a setting for retry. Am I missing it or is it automatic? The error happens sporadically for me so at this point I have no idea if it is fixed or not.shypike wrote:Are you already using 0.7.0Beta5?chicoquente wrote:Is there some way to automate this process so I don't have to bother to click it every single time?
Re: URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file
Beta5 will keep retrying by itself and will only land fetches in the History
when there is a clearly identified cause.
What has already landed in History (by 0.6.15) you still need to "retry" manually.
