Newzbin2.es & Sky ISP

Post by Zoptooniek »

Hi,

I am currently a UK Sky Broadband customer and have have used the SABnzbd/Sickbeard/Newzbin combo for sometime now.
I am also running the latest versions of the clients (SABnzbd v0.6.15 and Sickbeard v492)
I am fully aware of the domain changes made by Newzbin and the fact that Sky have blocked access to the new domain by both IP & DNS name.
As a result, I have amended my local host file on my PC to point to the IP address of Newzbin's porn domain to be able to access Newzbin2.es as instructed by members on the Newzbin forums.
This has worked a treat and I am now able to access the Newzbin search site using the https://www.newzbin2.es URL with no issues whatsoever.
My Sabnzbd client can successfully retrieve my bookmarks from Newzbin and my Sickbeard client can also successfully snatch Newzbin nzbs and pass them onto my Sabnzbd client.
However, whenever these Newzbin nzbs appear in my queue (either by Sickbeard or by retrieving Newzbin bookmarks) they do not actually start to download.
This does not happen with any other providers which I have tried, only Newzbin.

Nothing is being detailed in the logs for SABnzbd

I can successfully download a nzb manually from Newzbin and add it manully to the SABnzbd queue and this starts to download successfully.

It seems like the client is attempting to verify the auto loaded nzbs with Newzbin somehow and it can't communicate?

Is anyone else out there in the same boat as me, I have searched the forum but cannot seem to find an answer.

Many Thanks
