Sabnzbd keeps looking for the same rar file for each downloa

Hi,

I've been using sabnzbd .0.6.7 on unRAID for the last 6 months pretty smoothly. Last week, however, I fed it a lot of episodes from Sickbeard. After it handled about 1/3 of them, the rest failed to unpack. Each download that fails to unpack is looking for the same exact .rar file, which is a rar file from the last successful download. If I add files to the queue, they fail too, and if I retry, they fail as well. I have tried to repair the queue, restart sabnzbd, and restarting the server. Any help would be appreciated, I'm dead in the water at the moment.

This suggests that there is a problem with the RAR files themselves.
The unrar program determines from the current rar file which next rar file it needs.
Did you try to re-download one of the failed jobs?
If it fails again, chances are that it's in the RAR files.
In that case, please email the NZB to bugs at sabnzbd.org
If you think that there's some interference between jobs (however unlikely)
we would need much more info, like NZBs and a debug log.

Yes, I tried to re-download them.

The very strange thing is that Sabnzbd reports the same exact .rar (a .r13 file, to be exact) for every subsequent .nzb that I throw at it. Here's an example:

[star.trek.tos.323.dvdrip.xvid-osiris] Unpacked 1 files/folders in 12 seconds
[stvs7ep16] Unpacking failed, unable to find stvs7ep16.r13

That stvs7ep16.r13 is from Star Trek Voyager. If I throw in another download, say of an entirely different series, it will fail with the same error (unable to find stvs7ep16.r13). It's done it for every single nzb that Sickbeard fed to it after stvs7ep16 (or if I manually search for the .nzb from within Sabnzbd).

Is there anything else I can clean out to make Sabnzbd forget about stvs7ep16.r13?

If what I'm saying still seems like an issue then please let me know and I'll send an email to bugs.

The other possibility is that the file is actually described in the NZBs.
Did you check that?

I grepped a couple for stvs, no mention of it in them.

Hi there - I am having the same issue here is a sample of the report...

[wat-xvid-sqds01e01] ERROR: CRC failed in "seaquest.dsv.s01e01.dvdrip.xvid-wat.avi"
This is the same error I get for any file I try to download.

Ok, I've tracked down the source of the error. It turns out that it was properly unpacking all of the files, but (and I don't know that I'll explain this properly), for whatever reason the r1 through r-12 files for stvs7ep16 were in the destination directory of the downloads, along with par2 file for stvs7ep16. I can only assume that the par check was running for that episode with every subsequent download and thus reporting the error. When I deleted the r1-r12 files and the associated par files everything started working properly again (ie, no errors).

I'm still interested in the NZB files.

Do you want the one that caused it (I made a second one cause it), or the subsequent ones? The ones that cause it seem to be the most likely ones. Where would I get the NZBs from? Where does Sabnzbd put the nzbs that Sickbeard feeds it?

If you don't use SABnzbd's nzb backup option, it may be hard to find.

I'm currently having the same problem. Where does Sabnzbd store the rar files it's decompressing? Is there an intermediate location where it does the uncompressing? currently my temp download folder is stored in something like H:\ServerFolders\NewsGroups\NBZ\Downloads\incomplete

I kinda thought it would be somewhat obvious, but I just can't seem to find it.

Does the missing rar file seem to be part of the set?
Or is it an unrelated file?

Load the nzb file again into SABnzbd (in paused mode)
and look at the file list by clicking on the job title in the queue.

The file is completely unrelated to the set. It's not listed in the .nzb file either.

An interesting thing is, although it says it's failed, often the file completes and I'm able to watch it. This also doesn't happen for every show I download, only some.

I may have found the problem. Looking at the directory that it's unpacking the files (for whatever reason, a few of my programs don't unpack to their own directories, but instead unpack to the root directory of where I store my TV shows) there is a RAR file sitting in there that is the RAR file BEFORE the file that's being requested (.r06 is the file name that exists, .r07 is the file being requested). I have deleted the file and will see if it fixes it.

I've included 2 screen shots for example. I've got to run to work now, so I can't wait for this file to finish downloading to see if the error is gone now that i've removed the offending file, but I can let you know later. Until then, here's the URL to the images: http://imgur.com/a/m3uKb
