Sabnzbd froze, yet seems to be working somewhat

Post by crankycowboy »

I have a weird thing going on with sabnzbd. I should mention that I have been using the program for a long time, so it's not (or probably not) a config related problem. I use sickbeard and couchpotato as well. Over the weekend I send several movies to sabnzbd from couchpotato. Everything seemed to be working properly, it got through the majority of the movies without issue, but then it (sabnzbd) appeared to freeze up. Though I had items in my queue, it showed 0 KB/s|8505MB|;:00:00 left. Indicating that I obviously had items left to download, but it wasn't for some reason. I'm not paused. I restarted my computer, restarted sabnzbd, and did a "repair" under status which oddly made the program start responding and started working for about 5 min. and then it happened again. In my logs, I do see something a bit strange but not sure what it means.....it looks something like this:

2012-01-02 07:49:37,900::INFO::[decoder:181] <Article: article=1241896407.96447.1@europe.news.astraweb.com, bytes=396595, partnum=1, art_id=None> => missing from all servers, discarding

It goes all the way up to part number 157 and then starts over. Does the same thing in console (of course). oddly the status bar seems to be going up very slowly even though it shows 0 KB/s at the top.

Nothing surprising here.
The post is not present on your Usenet provider's server.
The speed is very low because all that comes in from the server is "don't have it".

Thanks for the reply shy.....so I'm trying to download a post not available on my usenet host? What's weird is that it IS downloading...but very slowly (this particular file was at 8 gigs and now only has 3 remaining) and even more strange is that I can add additional files and change them to "force" where they are above the previous one....and nothing changes...still stays at 0:00:00....so that would indicate something else is the problem, wouldn't it?

It looks like it's downloading.
In fact it's sending out article requests and getting "no" for an answer.
Since the bandwidth meter just counts raw bytes it will count the "no" answers too.
The nett result being a very low download rate.
